Trion Air Boss DI3000 Air Cleaner

The Trion Air Boss DI3000 Dual Inlet provides clean air and removes environmental contaminants through two stages of media filtration. Dirty air is drawn through both ends of the DI Series units and passes through two stages of filtration. The filtered air then enters the blower and is discharged to the space through an adjustable grille. The unit can be wall-mounted, chain-hung, or suspended from threaded rod.

Pre-filter Installation & Removal:
Filters are changed according to the pressure across the filter. Both the DI3000 and DI3500 come equipped with a minihelic gauge (please refer to the owner's manual for more information). Remove power to the unit before servicing. Pre-filters are removed by grabbing pre-filter and pulling out. Install pre-filter by inserting pre-filter into cabinent opening.
Main Filter: Bag Filter Installation & Removal:
Remove power to the unit before servicing. First remove pre-filter(s). The bag filters are removed in similar manner as prefilter. Grab bag filter and pull out. Install bag filter by pushing bag filter into cabinet opening until bag filter frame comes into contact with cabinent flange. Take care not to pinch the bag filter media between cabinent and filter frame. Re-install pre-filter(s).
Main Filter: HEPA Filter (Optional) Installation & Removal:
Remove power to the unit before servicing. First remove pre-filter. Remove bag filter if applicable. Then follow the proceeding steps to install the HEPA Filter Kit. See page 5 for exploded view.
1.Remove button head socket cap screw 1/4-20x1/2” and lockwasher (typ. 4) from cabinet filter opening.
2. Slide HEPA wrapper assembly into cabinet opening until gasket seats against cabinet flange. Reach through HEPA wrapper opening and loosely secure HH thread cut screw #10x1/2” (typ. 2) through flange slot on rear of HEPA wrapper and into hole in cabinet brace.
3. Reaffix button head socket cap screw and lockwasher with filter clip into cabinet filter opening. With filter clip on face of HEPA wrapper, tighten screw with 5/32” hex wrench. When properly tightened, clip should draw HEPA wrapper against cabinent flange to a minimum 1/8” gap. A bar clamp can be used in lieu of filter clips to pull-in and position the HEPA wrapper within the cabinet.
4. Complete tightnening of the HH thread cut screws in rear of HEPA wrapper.
5. With the HEPA wrapper secured to cabinent brace, remove button head socket screw hardware and filter clips.
6. Slide HEPA filter into HEPA wrapper and reinstall hardware with clips against HEPA filter frame. Properly secured HEPA filter should be compressed into HEPA wrapper to a 1/8” gap.
7. Reinstall prefilter.
Cabinet Cleaning:
After the dirty components (pre-filters, main filters) have been removed, an inspection of the cabinet should be made. Remove all foreign debris and dirt accumulation inside the cabinet. Check for dirt accumulation on the blower wheel blades and clean if there is a buildup. Inspect all wiring for loose connections and cracked insulation.
