Overview
The Trion Fred ICS 1.5 air cleaner is a portable dust - weld smoke collector. It is designed to capture and filter smoke and dust from most industrial applications.
Maintenance
Dust Drawer
The dust drawer should be emptied periodically. Empty the door only after a cleaning cycle is finished to prevent dust from escaping.
Filter Cartridge
The cartridge will need to be changed periodically. The frequency will depend on use and type of filter used. Typically the period can vary from 6 to 24 months.
Pre-Coating
New filters need to be pre-coated with 1 lb of silica based cellulose.
1. Disable cleaning mechanisim for 10-15 hours.
2. Remove rear carbon mesh door to view bypass.
3. Remove the capture arm (if applicable).
4 Turn the unit on.
5. Blocks 3/4 of the inlet opening (to dampen air flow some).
6. Slowly feed pre-coat material in the unit through the inlet.
7. Reinstall capture arm.
8. Reinstall rear carbon door.
Carbon Filter
The Carbon Filter should be replaced every 12 to 18 months or with the change of every main filter.
Compressed Air Filter
Check the compressed air filter periodically and replace the filter media if necessary. If moisture or water is present in the bowl, vent out through bleed valve located beneath the bowl while air pressure is on.
Capture Arm
Adjustment to arm friction joints can be made by releasing the lower hose clamp, pushing back the main hose and tightening joints.
