Trion 220110‐029 Ionizer Wire Assembly

Trion 220110-029 Ionizing Wire. Trion ionizing wire. Your model will take more than one but they are sold individually. Approximately 19 long including brass ends. These wires are compressed like springs and stretch out when you install them. This is the very thin tungsten wire that is stretched between plastic separators inside your air cleaner. If any ionizer wire is missing, the air passing through this section of the air cleaner will not be cleaned. The air cleaner will still work in the other sections of the air cleaner as long as the broken or missing ionizer wire is removed to prevent it from shorting out the air cleaner. These wires are fairly brittle and get much more brittle as they age. Care must be taken not to try and bend an old wire, or it may break. Replacing them is rather simple, and it's a good idea to purchase extra wires when replacing them, so you have spares in case you break one while replacing a broken ionizer wire.
